Patinack
Farm Classic and four Breeders¡¦ Cup races to be simulcast for betting
The
Hong Kong Jockey Club will simulcast for betting the Patinack Farm Classic from
Australia on Saturday, 7 November and four Breeders¡¦ Cup races from the USA on
the early morning of Sunday, 8 November.
The
Patinack Farm Classic is a Group One Weight-For-Age event of 1200M over the
straight course at Flemington in Melbourne. It is among the best sprint races
on the Australian racing calendar and since 2008 has become the seventh leg of
the prestigious Global Sprint Challenge.
The
Breeders¡¦ Cup, since its inception in 1984, has established itself as a
year-end championship. The now expanded 2-day programme has been a magnet for
the most outstanding horses not only in the USA but also from all over the
world. Fourteen championship
races, carrying a total prize of US$25.5 million, will be contested over two
days at Santa Anita Park in California this year.
The Breeders¡¦ Cup simulcast will include the US$5m Breeders¡¦
Cup Classic (G1 2000 metres Pro-ride artificial surface), US$3m Emirates
Airline Breeders¡¦ Cup Turf (G1 2400 metres turf), US$2m TVG Breeders¡¦ Cup Mile
(G1 1600m turf) and US$1m Breeders¡¦ Cup Dirt Mile (G1 1600 metres Pro-ride
artificial surface).
Final declarations for the Patinack Farm Classic and the
Breeders¡¦ Cups will be available on Thursday, 5 November.
