Bets for promoted standby runners accepted after sales
start
To cope with different standby runner promotion systems in different
countries, the arrangement for assigning horse numbers for promoted standby
starters will now be different from that of the local races.
If there is a promotion of a standby starter in an overseas race, the original number allocated
to the standby starter will remain unchanged instead of adopting the number
vacated by the withdrawn horse.
The horse numbers for standby starters will remain effective even after
ticket sales for the race have started.
Once a standby starter has been promoted as a declared
starter,
whether before or after sales start, bets will be accepted for this promoted
starter.
